Section 8A
Liability of local level
(1) If the local level sees a problem in the living of the senior citizen, the financial income of the dependents or close relatives shall be identified and the prescribed amount shall be deposited in the account of the senior citizen on a monthly basis. But in the case of people who do not have the specified minimum income, it will be the responsibility of the local level to fulfill the minimum basic needs of senior citizens.
(2) If the local level sees that something needs to be done immediately for the livelihood of the senior citizen before taking a decision, the concerned ward chairman will temporarily serve his children; or The rightful person should be asked to deposit a certain amount into the bank account of the senior citizens.
(3) together with the mother in respect of the amount referred to in sub-sections (1) and (2); It has to be deposited even in the case that it is settled or has been separated according to the law.

(7) If the person who is obliged to deposit the amount according to this section does not deposit the amount, his father or mother can apply to the self-employed body or the local level for enforcement.
(8) Obligation to deposit amount if application is received as per sub-section (7).The head of the body employing the person shall order the relevant officer to collect the salary or amount of such person.
(9) No one shall be exempted from the legal obligations and practical responsibilities to be fulfilled according to the prevailing law, just because he has paid wages or money to his parents in accordance with this section.
(10) According to this section, the amount deposited in the bank account in the name of the parents can be spent on the funeral after the parents' death. (14) The state should update and categorize the detailed information of senior citizens at the relevant local level for the purpose of providing service facilities to senior citizens.
